Project Background

The client had specified that they wanted the most economical way to achieve a neat finish on the slabwork. This was the contractors’ first experience of using K-Form.

Specification

Total quantity of K-Form K135 ordered = 354m. Depth of concrete required = 150mm Used Fibre based concrete so no mesh was required, also chose to leave top strip in place.

The project manager reported back the following:

‘They were pleased how easy it was to set out the K-Form in the required bays. The overall time spent on this project compared with similar jobs using traditional formwork was halved. There was also a significant reduction in cost. Also the client was impressed with the neat finish..
